Our Why
In 2017, Samantha Richardson made the bold decision to leave her husband. It took months of trying to communicate and unpack the mental and emotional boundaries before she was certain she was going to leave. It was a tumultuous time in her life filled with uncertainty. Where was she going to go, how was she going to leave, what was next for her? She was unsure of what laid ahead of her, only that she couldn’t put up with the abuse, stress and loss of herself any longer.

She confronted trusted friends to assist in her exit strategy and began setting all the pieces in motion. Over the next few months she worked tirelessly trying to find supportive services, counsellors, coaches etc to help assist her in rebuilding her new life on her own life. She struggled to find the services and support she felt she needed. Samantha internally, and with sheer persistence rebuilt her life alone without that assistance she desperately sought, often fighting thoughts of suicide. It took her 2 years of intense work to feel like she had before her marriage and was stronger than ever. She understands firsthand the statistics that she's working against that approximately 45% return in that first two years. Samantha struggled with the concept of returning as well. Some days the unknown was just too much but she kept moving forward finding more strength each day. She has been determined ever since to create a program that hosts all the services and support she sought out in her darkest days to assist those also in the depths of rebuilding.
It was a recognition that without first having awareness of what is deemed domestic violence that we as a society cannot stand up against it or recognise the signs. With that in mind, our workplace training and awareness program was created. We are very excited to share that our program is tailored across a wide variety of industries. Contact us to see how we can assist you.
